
Jayson Michael Rieger, Ph.D., MBA, President of Human Therapeutics Division and Senior Vice President
Dr. Rieger brings more than 10 years experience in cross-functional scientific and business leadership roles spanning research operations, drug discovery and development in the life sciences industry. He most recently served as the Vice President of Research and Virginia Operations for Forest Laboratories, Inc. Prior to its acquisition by Forest, he served as the Vice President of Research and Virginia Operations, Vice President of Research, and Vice President of Lead Development for Trovis Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Clinical Data, Inc., from 2008 to 2011. During his tenure at Trovis, Dr. Rieger oversaw the Research Operations for the Early Development team and portfolio in addition to acting as the key business manager and technical contact for several joint company relations. Following completion of his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia in 2002, where his dissertation work served as part of the pivotal science leading to the founding of Adenosine Therapeutics, LLC., Dr. Rieger joined Adenosine Therapeutics and went on to hold several leadership roles, including Group Leader of Medicinal Chemistry, Program Manager, Director of Lead Development, and Vice President of Lead Development from 2002-2008. He is a co-inventor on more than 25 patents, has authorship on more than 25 peer reviewed scientific publications, and was principal/co-investigator on greater than 10 NIH grants. Dr. Rieger also holds an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
